Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
Therapy is a collaborative process. Feeling fully seen by and connected to your therapist is essential. In order to determine if I am the right therapist for you, I encourage you to schedule a free initial consultation. This allows you to ask questions, discuss your concerns and gauge how comfortable you feel. Additionally, I encourage you to read through client testimonials and review my credentials to gain confidence in the expertise I'm bringing to our therapy work.
  • How many therapy sessions will I need?
The number of therapy sessions you will need can vary based on your individual needs and goals. Typically, some clients may see significant progress within a few sessions, while others may benefit from a longer-term therapeutic relationship. During your initial consultation, I will assess your specific situation and provide a more customized estimate of the number of sessions that might be needed. My goal is to support you in achieving optimal wellbeing in a time frame that is effective and comfortable for you.
  • Do you take insurance?
In order to focus on providing exceptional care I do not take insurance. This allows me to prioritize your needs without the constraints and additional administrative burden imposed by insurance. As an out of network provider, I offer an invoice to submit to your insurance for out of network reimbursement. If this is something you are interested in, please contact your insurance for specifics regarding your plan's reimbursement rate.
  • How much does each session cost?
My rate per 50 minute session is $225. I also offer extended, 90 minute sessions as needed for $325.
  • What happens in a therapy session?
Each therapy session is designed to be both supportive and transformative. I provide a safe, confidential space where you can feel comfortable to freely express your thoughts and feelings. The session typically begins with a discussion about your current concerns and goals. My role is to ask questions and offer insights to explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviors. By session's end you will gain a deeper understanding of yourself, develop healthy coping strategies and have a plan for next steps in the healing process.
