Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy
What is MBCT?
MBCT is a therapy that uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, meditation and the use of a present-oriented, non-judgmental attitude known as "mindfulness".
This therapy builds upon the principles of cognitive therapy by using techniques like mindfulness meditation in order to teach patients to consciously pay attention to their thoughts and feelings without placing judgements on them.
This approach helps patients review their thoughts without getting caught up in what could have been or what might occur in the future. MBCT will help encourage clarity of thought and provide a patient with tools needed to easily let go of negative thoughts.
Experience MBCT for yourself.
